I read to the knitters the tale of Ervin Drake and how his future wife Edith inspired his immortal song, "Good Morning Heartache" the first time he proposed to her (she said no; 34 years later he asked again).  Then I called Ervin and Edith on my cellphone and they gave immortal love tips to the happy knitters who couldn't believe they got to a book reading, a mini-concert, and love tips all on the same day at Bella Filati.
